Terms of Service

The Basics

By using Pattern Base ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What You Get

We give you a license to use the app on your devices. The app works entirely offline on your iPad. No account or internet connection required.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of any content you add to Pattern Base, including:

• Photos of patterns, fabrics, and projects
• Pattern metadata and notes you enter
• Organizational structures and favorites

We don't access, view, or have any rights to your content. It stays entirely on your device.

Intellectual Property

Pattern Base is a tool for organizing your own pattern collection. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store and use any pattern information you add to the app. The app does not provide patterns—it helps you organize patterns you already own or have rights to.

What We Don't Do

• We don't warranty the app for any particular purpose
• We don't backup your data (it's stored locally on your device)
• We don't provide data recovery if you delete something
• We don't provide patterns or pattern content
• We don't guarantee compatibility with any particular pattern format

Your Responsibilities

• Maintain your own backups via iPad backup (iCloud or local)
• Respect intellectual property rights when adding patterns to your library
• Don't use the app for anything illegal
• You're responsible for your own device and data

Pricing

Pattern Base is free. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no hidden costs.

Limitation of Liability

The app is provided "as is." We're not liable for any damages from using or not being able to use the app, including data loss. Our maximum liability is the amount you paid us (which is $0).

Termination

You can stop using the app anytime. Use "Delete All Data" in Settings to remove your data. We can terminate or modify the service anytime, though we'll try to give reasonable notice for major changes.

Changes

We might update these terms. We'll post changes here. Continued use of the app means you accept the new terms.

Disputes

These terms are governed by Washington State law. Any disputes will be handled in Washington courts.
