- Yes! Add photos of pattern envelopes, fabric swatches, finished projects, or technical drawings. The app displays your images in a beautiful gallery view.
- How do I track which patterns I own?
- Mark patterns and magazine issues as "owned" to quickly filter your library to what's actually in your stash. You can also track wishlists and patterns you've already made.
- What filter options are available?
- Filter by garment type (dresses, tops, pants, etc.), difficulty level, size range, recommended fabric types, designer/brand, year, ratings, and more. Combine multiple filters to find exactly what you need.
- Does this app require an internet connection?
- No. Pattern Base is designed to work completely offline. Your entire library is stored locally on your iPad, perfect for sewing retreats or classes without WiFi.
- Is my data secure?
- All data stays on your device. We don't have servers, don't require accounts, and cannot access your pattern library or personal information.
- Why iPad only?
- Pattern Base is designed to take full advantage of the iPad's larger screen for browsing visual content. The three-column layout and masonry grid would be cramped on a phone. We wanted to build the best possible experience for pattern browsing, and that meant focusing on iPad.
- Can I backup my library?
- Your data is included in your regular iPad backups. We're also planning export functionality for future updates.
